Radio Sign

I use a low power FM transmitter to broadcast the audio that accompanies the light show.  The power for the transmitter is switched by a channel on an LOR controller, eleminating the need to manually turn the transmitter power on at the beginning of the show.

In order to inform visitors of the where to tune their radios to I purchased a lighted sign to display the frequency.   I used LED lights inserted into the sign blank to display the transmitter frequency.  The sign power is also switched by a channel on an LOR controller.  I have the channel set to blink several times at the beginning of the show to be sure to attract the viewers attention.

The enclosure is a simple wooden box with a plexiglass lens to protect and waterproof the display.  The base is fabricated of rectangular steel tubing and is adjustable to allow for leveling the sign.
